Sci-Engage is a Science Communication & Engagement Initiative by faculty, staff, and students from the University of New Hampshire. We are curious about the world we live in and we are passionate about exploring, studying, and communicating science.
Jennifer Purrenhage, PhD is a senior lecturer of Wildlife & Conservation Biology at the University of New Hampshire. Jen teaches courses in Conservation Biology, Inventory and Monitoring Methods, Wildlife Conservation Career Exploration, and Communicating Science. She is on the Board of Directors of the Ecological Research as Education Network (EREN) and serves as the EREN Web Coordinator. Jen is engaged in collaborative studies of salamanders, turtles, frogs, and toads.
Maeve Kelley is an undergraduate student studying Wildlife & Conservation Biology at the University of New Hampshire (expected B.S., May 2022). She is the author of a UNH Inquiry Journal article about her undergraduate research on Blanding’s turtle wetland connectivity. Here research is also featured here on Sci-Engage (‘Wading into her future’).
Heather Meader (UNH ’16) received her B.S. degree in Wildlife & Conservation Biology from the University of New Hampshire. While in school, Heather spent a summer working as a seasonal loon biologist with the Loon Preservation Committee.
